July 2008 – Wellpartner, Inc. has awarded Fairfax
Imaging, Inc. a contract to develop and maintain a
turn-key mail order imaging and processing solution
for its mail order pharmacy. The system performs
high speed color batch scanning of both sides of all
incoming prescriptions and other forms and
documents. Fairfax Imaging will be the sole
contractor for this project and will provide the
development and integration for the entire
solution.
Fairfax Imaging
will install its award winning imaging and
data-capture platform, Quick Modules, which is
scalable and tailor-able to meet Wellpartner’s
current and future mail order pharmacy requirements.
“It is not just
high speed batch scanning,” said Jerry McMunn, R.Ph,

“Since Wellpartner’s pharmacists and technicians
will be reading and entering information into their
pharmacy management system from the prescription and
other document images, they need a system that can
deliver photographic quality images captured from
both sides of these documents. Prescriptions
written on dark colored or safety paper, or on paper
with complex printed backgrounds, will need to be as
legible as those written on plain white paper. The
scanners we are recommending, plus the color image
capabilities of our software systems meet all of
these requirements.”
A turn-key,
hardware-independent solution, Quick Modules
provides faster processing and increased cost
efficiency. By applying the latest in recognition
technologies, including BCR, software check
recognition and color batch processing, the system
will enable Wellpartner to streamline its operations
and increase the productivity of its labor force.
